History

At the age of 20 Mario Sosa Sr started working for a well-established, reputable Iberia tile company. A company known for the high quality work they performed, he started as a helper and quickly excelled to be one of the top installers. Working with a group of highly, talented co-workers, many told of regrets they had of never opening their own business earlier on in life. With expanding experience of the trade, Mario decided at the age of 30 to open his own tile company. His goal in starting out on his own was to use all the knowledge learned from the many professionals he had worked with over the years and open a successful company of his own, Sosa Tile Company. Mario strived from the beginning to be the very best in the business. Operating with the mission to produce high quality work, Mario’s business quickly grew thru out the Bay Area.

For over 30 years now, Sosa has continued to build a stellar reputation in the industry. Surviving 3 recessions in 2016, Mario Sosa, Sr. feels very blessed to continue to build a family tradition in which now three of his children are involved in.

In August 2005, Sosa Tile was featured front cover of a world trade publication recognizing Sosa as the best in the industry. This award is proudly displayed still in Sosa’s showroom. Since that time, no other California company has ever received that honor. In 2016 Sosa was voted “Bay Area’s Best Kitchen and Bath Remodeling Company”. This was voted by 300,000 subscribers to the Bay Area News Group. High recognition for a young man who began his journey has a helper over 30 years ago.
